Upon graduation from an American university, you will have the opportunity to prolong your stay in the United States for one year through the Optional Practical Training (OPT) programme.
Thanks to OPT, you may obtain a visa allowing you to work on American territory in a field relating to your major for one year following graduation.
If you graduate with a degree in the STEM field, you are eligible to apply for a 2-year extension to your F-1 visa for the OPT programme.
