The American university system excels in creating community on campus. Everything you need — restaurants, food outlets, gym, pool, sports’ stadiums, pharmacies, doctor’s surgery — is right in front of you. Thanks to the Go Campus network, we have partnerships with dozens of universities in the United States. Whether you’re hoping to head north to a state like Wisconsin or enjoy the sunshine in a southern state like Florida, our university network spans across the country. This is a great opportunity to try something new. Already been to New York, why not try a school on the West Coast? Don’t forget that during school holidays, you can travel across the States to explore new places.
Perhaps Menlo College tempts you with its proximity to Stanford University and San Francisco, maybe it’s the Midwestern hospitality that beckons at Truman State University in the heart of Missouri. Maybe you want to be right in the centre of nature and enjoying hiking and mountain sports, well Southern Utah University could just be the one for you! Want to find out more about these universities and others in our network, click here. Outside of the classroom, learning doesn’t stop. The American university champions the entirety of each student, not just his or her academic capabilities. With Go Campus, on campus housing is a guarantee allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the American campus experience 24/7 and providing you with round the clock access to the restaurants, recreational centre, swimming pool, and sports fields which are all at your fingertips.
Atmosphere
Go Campus requires you to live on campus so that you can focus on your education. Living on campus allows you to truly engage in university life and to save precious time. No tedious search for an affordable, liveable apartment in a country you are unfamiliar with. No long or expensive commutes to and from campus every day. No excessive grocery shopping and meal preparation. Everything you need is on campus to facilitate this experience for you!
Along with meeting all your immediate needs, the university also provides a cosmopolitan environment where you can easily meet others in the same boat. Universities are inherently a diverse community with students hailing from all over the world to be able to study at such prestigious institutions.
Living on campus allows you to create friendships more easily, be it with roommates or neighbours. American campus life is autonomous and resembles a mini society. Your university becomes a sort of second family; upon graduation, you’ll refer fondly to your university as your Alma Mater, which is Latin for “nurturing mother.” Your Alma Mater (alumni) network connects you to the many former graduates as well as the ones to come.

Activities
If you’re looking to explore your sporty side, consider joining the ice hockey or basketball intramural teams. Develop your inner artist by spending time with the printmaking or film clubs. Take a break from studying by participating in the ping pong or equestrian clubs.
Grow your resume by being a part of the university’s Model United Nations club or working for the student newspaper or magazine. Go Greek and rush a sorority or fraternity. Give back to the community by volunteering with the International Justice Mission or service group. The opportunities awaiting you are truly endless.
American campus life allows you to blossom. All your immediate needs are taken care of, and you have the freedom to choose classes, activities and friends. Universities in the United States cater to your personality so that you flourish.

Work opportunities
Go Campus partner universities may offer job opportunities. If you want to work to finance part of your studies or grow your experience, you have the option to work on campus. Go Campus students are able to work for up to 20 hours per week and up to 40 hours per week during school breaks. The F1 visa allows you to work on-campus only. As such, many partner universities will prioritise these jobs for international students.
Our recent survey shows that one in two students (54%) found on-campus work, and 87% of students that wished to work on campus found the process relatively easy.
Some of our partner universities may require their students to engage in volunteer work in order to keep their scholarships.
Go Campus recommends students over the age of 18 to find work on campus as it is a good way to better integrate into university life, and it allows you to earn money at the same time.
